What do You eat...for Example
There is a lot of wondering and asking...
WHAT DO YOU EAT ?
Comments like:
foods and nutritional data calculations |
What are Carbs?
I couldn't do that....I need MY carbs...
NO POTATOES?!!! What about carrots?....
I keep track on a website called Fitday.
By logging in the ingredients of a "plate" or meal,I see the proportion of fat, protein and carbs that I am eating .
FITDAY nutritional chart
fat,carb,protein
|
For now..I aim for 20-30 total carbs per day.
Usually I eat a Brunch meal...maybe a dinner (and not always).
This is a sample of the brunch I ate about 11:30 AM...
I find that the combinations of food are somewhat unusual sometimes compared to typical "American' fare.and I look first to the carb count for making choices.
The cupboard were carb cleaned last year.
I don't want to try to make things that are "LIKE" old trigger foods ..no fake brownies or cake..
Carob Malted Milk Balls are NOT health food because they are in the natural food section .
So...interesting to notice while in SPAIN:
Olives (which I never ate) are on the breakfast bar...
so when I looked in the fridge...there they were..next to eggs in the fridge..!Hmmm..WHY NOT ?
Concocting a new to me breakfast...It was fun..and tasted good...just different from Pancakes and orange juice....
Very satisfying meal and I will be full for hours...

sketchnotes : hot heads
There seems to be a recurring theme .............
the mind blowing
dare to speak
try to learn
absorb new information
and from the workshop notes in Mallorca ..in the low carb presentation workshop notes..
adding sugar to a compromised metabolism is like pouring gasoline onto a fire.............
WHAT DO YOU EAT? (I hear that a lot)
I keep track of what I eat by using a website that calculates nutrition.
https://www.fitday.com/
I had lost 100 pounds years ago and the information food log is still held within the site.
It is interesting to look back and note that the eating during that time,,,2006 was a calorie restricted plan,,,I limited my intake to 1200 -1500 calories a day. I WAS STRUGGLING and hungry.I had cravings galore!
Since finding LCHF a year ago.The dramatic weight loss has been amazing...there have been no cravings to speak of .I have not had carbohydrates ,sugar and that goes to the point of the difference in the combination of foods I was choosing from during calorie restriction.
The calorie restriction vs. Low carb High (healthy) fat weight loss has been a much different experience.
I have been eating for the past few months,20 -30 net carbs a day :
meat,eggs,macadamea nuts,seeds,cream.mayo,butter,water,coffee,
,vegetables that grow above ground,
there are great lists on the web. Dr.Eric Westman has great information.
I am amazed and grateful to have found LCHF and Intermittent fasting.

I am looking forward to sharing this information with anyone that is interested.
I was watching a youTube video of a StoryPanel from Ketocon 2017.The discussion was interesting and especially addressing a question as to what are you doing to pass the word about Low Carb,Keto,Paleo etc....
It was then that I came to this old blog to revitalize it to reflect this new to me lifestyle.
Thanks...

😊💪....I now go to YMCA in Baldwinsville New York where I walk in the lazy river. It’s a walking pool with resisting jets. The instructor calls directions and arm exercises are a big part . walk, jog, forward, backwards, with the current or against it. It’s great exercise without a lot of pressure on your joints. The social/play aspect is a positive experience as well.
Having such a big weight loss has the interesting result of loose skin...so I am thinking I can build up muscle and fill it back up.
I don't know how that might work out and I am having fun.it is the first Gym class that I am enjoying It has only taken me 67 years to find it..
In referring to the play aspect I will also talk about another workshop presenter that was in Mallorca at Low Carb Universe 2017
DARRYL EDWARDS
Having fun with movement lots of information on the benefits of exercise and laughter.Check out the video of my workshop with him as we enjoyed the beautiful afternoon in Mallorca.
